We all know those who constantly complain about their jobs and how little sleep they get because of their job.

And then there are those who have about 50 cups of tea and coffee just to make it through their working day.

Well, a new study has revealed the professions that caused the most amount of sleep deprivation.

There are a number of professions that will mean you will get the least amount of sleep.

According to a new study carried out by Hillarys, your job can dictate how many hours of sleep you get every night.

This can be caused by a number of factors such as long shifts, stress and travel as well as many others.

Here are the top five professions that have the least amount of sleep and the average hours they sleep.

Healthcare – 4 hours 15 minutes
Law enforcement – 4 hours 30 minutes
Teaching – 4 hours 35 minutes
Journalists – 4 hours 50 minutes
Hospitality – 5 hours

Hillarys also revealed the jobs that get the most amount of sleep.

Here are the top five.

Hair and beauty – 9 hours 40 minutes
Telemarketers – 8 hours 45 minutes
Insurance – 8 hours 20 minutes
Retail – 8 hours 15 minutes
Construction – 8 hours 10 minutes

The study also revealed that people feel that the lack of sleep is affecting their health.

Many people as a result of this try to change up their nightly routine by practising yoga or having a better diet.
